Paper Tear Effect with Cinema 4D & After Effects from Robert Hranitzky on Vimeo.
Have a sneak peek behind the scenes on how I have created the torn paper effect for the GenArts Reel Intro. The great combination of Cinema 4D and After Effects was used to achieve this effect.
By popular demand and many people constantly asking how this was done, I have decided to record this short video and hopefully help others. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to create and record a step-by-step tutorial but I hope this is still helpful and enjoyable for those that are interested in it.
Have fun watching and animating!
*UPDATE*
As I have received many questions about more specific details and setup info, I have decided to share my original scene file (for learning purposes only)! Please note that I have reduced the texture resolution and saved them as jpg instead of psd. Nick from Greyscalegorilla is kind enough to host the file for me :)You can download it here gsgshare.s3.amazonaws.com/Paper_Tear.zip
